These
coastal scenes were captured on trips to the marshes around St. Simon's
and Sea Island, Georgia and to the beaches at Destin, Florida. There
were wonderful storms in the distance in St. Simon's with incredibly
vivid sunsets. Destin was serene compared to the tempestuousness of the
Georgia coast but still remains dramatic with wind and shadow in the
dunes.
These paintings are an attempt to capture a moment in
time of an ever changing canvas painted in the heavens and on the earth
using the pigments available to me which can never match the incredible
pallette used by our creator.
